  • HOW TO BRAND YOUR SERVICE ON A BUDGET

    AUTHOR: // CATEGORY: Uncategorized

    Written for Janglo.net’s newsletter – June 2014

It is very important for any company when providing a business, that brand is one of the main investments apart from the investment into what you do and the services that you provide.

Many people want the best, for as little as possible, for pretty much everything. When it comes to branding, often the best way is not the cheapest way.

With that having been said there are a number of ways that you can brand your company without having to spend an arm and a leg, and thanks to technology you are able to do many of these things yourself.

What do you stand for? The very first thing you need to define is what you are offering and how your service is going to benefit your potential clients. What are the 5 pillar words of your company that you want your clients to associate your services with? Not only will you save time in the long run by prioritizing your time and efforts, your brand will now have a theme to work with and direction that you truly believe in.

Now that you know the foundation of your business, use these words to write out your theology or story. Understanding your brand involves your key themes working together. As this story grows you will start to feel grounded in the fact that what you are offering is something indeed special and unique.

Now is the time to share. Many companies start with this step without doing all their homework first. This often times causes people to share what they feel is right, instead of the core principles of what they are offering.

The next step is where to start sharing and advertising your company. The first thing to do is to assess which partnerships you can make to facilitate getting the word out. Maybe there is a site devoted to your service where you can advertise your new company. Get talking on industry forums, and on Facebook and Twitter. By publishing free resources that could help elevate your industry is a good way to show your commitment and will allow you to create a platform for which you can share your ideas.

Revisit your site and update your presentations. There is nothing more important than appealing to your audience in a fresh way. Companies, which fail to do this often, look outdated and unreliable; which is the worst thing that can to happen to a service orientated business.

In conclusion, the hardest part when it comes to creating your brand is understanding and nailing down the core objectives and the promises that you are offering to your clients. By sitting down and working this out for yourself, without using a professional will save you a lot of money and also get you more involved in owning your company, not just on paper but from within you.

    testimonial

“Hi this is Ivy….I have been in business for over 30 years, and recently realized the Power of Social Media. In the last 25 years I have owned and operated a Parking lot/Christmas Tree lot near Wrigley Field. For many of those years business has been consistent but recently slumping.

I now realize that the ONLY way to increase business was to tap into the social media market. The PROBLEM was that I did not know how to do it.

Before getting involved with social media I did not know the difference between a Tweet or a Chirp, a Facebook post from a fence post…. WOW did I underestimate the POWER of theses TOOLS.

My Christmas Tree business experienced a greater demand than any of us ever expected. Our business quadrupled and we sold out in just a few short weeks. Calls and online orders were coming in as fast as I could answer. Customers were coming to me from Zip Codes and Area Codes that NEVER purchased from us before.

The old way of promoting business like flyers, snail mail and door hangers are now a thing of the past.

Because the Social Media SWITCH was TURNED ON, Ivy’s Christmas Trees was an Extreme Success in 2013.

Everyday I come across people like myself, Baby Boomers without the ability to promote and grow their business thru Social Media.”
